Introduction

Gr1 titanium welding wire is a commercially pure titanium wire that contains a minimum of 99% titanium. It is the softest and most ductile grade of titanium, making it easy to form into different shapes and sizes.
This pure titanium wire is typically produced by a cold drawing process, which involves pulling the wire through a series of dies to reduce its diameter.

Applications

1. Chemical Equipment Manufacturing
   Used in the production of reactors, heaters, heat exchangers, and storage tanks. These components often operate under high temperature, high pressure, and corrosive conditions, requiring materials like Gr1 titanium with excellent corrosion resistance and stability.

2. Welding and Maintenance of Titanium Equipment
   Due to the difficulty of welding titanium, high-purity Gr1 titanium welding wire is necessary for connecting or repairing Gr2 titanium equipment and other titanium alloy structures.
